0 to 1: How Shipping Fast Got Me My First Customer

So last Wednesday, Guidejar got its first paying customer and skyrocketed it's revenue to a whopping $8 MRR. Exciting, yes 🎉

I wanted to share with you all the story behind how this happened.

I soft launched the product on October 7 on Twitter. Unlike my dreams, the launch tweet did not get much engagement/visitors. But a couple of days later I got a few leads reaching out, but still nothing serious. And then on Wednesday evening, I got a feature request from one of the leads via Twitter. I was driving back from my day job and on the way I was thinking about the feasibility and usefulness. I reached home, went straight to my laptop and started coding. And an hour later, boom, it was live. I shot a quick message to him informing it's live, and he was stoked about the quick turnaround.

"This is amazing Shri, I'm gonna buy it just because you're shipping so quick"

This was the message he sent before purchasing. That was really a memorable moment in my indie journey.
