Has anyone created an LLC in the US as Non-Resident.

Has anyone created an LLC in the US as Non-Resident. I know there is Stripe Atlas (I reached out to them but got no reply) but could this be done myself?

If anyone has any tips that would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, many people incorporated LLC without being Citizen or Resident. The hard part is how to open a bank without being physically in US. If you are already in US, then it's much easier to create this LLC. Since you need some physical address to receive those document and sign paper work stuff. I just incorporated one using Legalzoom recently.

I am a US citizen, but I opened a capital one spark business account 100% online without walking into a building. I forget what documentation I had to provide though. Not sure if this is helpful or not.

Thanks. Couldn't I use an online bank like revolut? Or does the bank have to be in the USA and be a "pyhsical one"?

haven't tried this type of bank, if you open any FDIC insured such as bank of America, chase, or Citi, you have to be here I guess

Looked at legalzoom; the addons boost the total cost to around 1800 dollars. Am thinking of using legalzoom to help with taxes and licences. But perhaps use Harvard Business Services for the registered agent which could save $200 per year

You make a good point. The factor is that it has to be an FDIC type. Thanks again!

I also formed an LLC in Delaware. I used Harvard Business Services as my agent.

Thanks. Never heard of them. How much did it cost roughly, if you don't mind me asking.

It costed me $179 (after their $100 off promo) to register an LLC.

Avoid it if you can, opening it is easy enough with Atlas, but, maintaining it and submitting all the accounts and annual reports is a bit harder and more expansive.

It’s more expensive to maintain a company through stripe atlas than it would be to maintain it if you did it independently?

No, it's the same, Atlas only helps you open it. But it's more expansive than if you don't need it or can work with a company in your own country.
