Can I get some feedback? - $30.000+ worth of deals for startups and makers
Hi hackers,
My co-founder and I launched FounderBase.io with the intention of reducing how much you need to spend when you're starting your business.
Here's our vision:
Our long-term vision is to create a space where established startups get closer to help early-stage ones. This way, everyone wins. New startups will have more resources to succeed, and successful ones will win customers for life.
Here's why we decided to create this site:
We're founders from Latin America, and the dollar here is expensive as hell. We've had to pass on using a great service because we can't afford it (e.g. Segment, Hotjar, Typeform). We're trying our best to get the biggest deals we can, and we've got pretty nice offers. Check them out :)
Can you give us your feedback?
Thanks for your help!
Hey @jfdominguezp great initiative.
Your pricing seems to be a little considering it's a lifetime membership but I understand, it would contradict trying to get great discounts and then charging a higher fee for the service. Maybe an affiliate model with the suppliers would be a good revenue source.
Look at the types of tools most early stage startups would use for example hosting, landing page builder, logo builder, survey collector, analytics and help chat bot. Getting these types of deals would help the community in the early stage.
Good luck with the venture :)
Thanks @Nakkeeran! We'll definitely have to do something on top of our deals to make this a viable business. For now, we're interested in getting as much founders and feedback as we can.
Is there a specific service you would like to see in a deals list?
Hello,
The idea is fine and valuable if you can onboard a good number of useful services.. why not?
I'd improve the front-page design a bit, that is:
Instead of the ambiguous image in the hero/masthead section, use something like the logos of the most valuable services and their respective discounted price (or percentage off).
Personally, I would just have a bold headline (your service is quite simple to explain), and a list of the offerings right below. That is, when somebody visits the webpage, your offerings should be immediately visible (See "above the fold")[1].
Not sure about the monetization part... Do you have a plan for that?
Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback, David! Really valuable. I'll change the landing.
We'll start by charging for the lifetime membership. It's not a million dollar model, but it's a start. After we have more traction, we want to find a way to collaborate with the deal providers to offer additional services for our members, and also we'll charge for sponsorships.
