Is messaging clear?
#landing-page-feedback
I agree with @ResizePixel in that when I first viewed the page, I wasn't sure what the service was going to do.
The text needs to be larger compared to the images with a bit more text explaining it for the average user (Irony, I know, given you think I have too much text on my page ;-) I also found the indenting of the text to feel a little off.
Speaking of the images, it might flow better if there was a line connecting the first image to the second one to "show" action/cause.
The benefit statement, "Our SaaS platform helps you find visual regressions on your website" would play better at the top of the page in large friendly letters. Also, I'd change it to something like: "Diffy helps you find visual [regressions] on your website" The words "Our SaaS platform" doesn't do much for the viewer unless you're just using it for SEO. I agree with Nica's comment that the word "regressions" should be changed, but I can't think of a better word.
The quotes section would benefit if you could get a headshot of the person saying it, read somewhere that people find quotes like that have more authority when accompanied by a headshot.
"How it works?" agree with Nica, remove the "?" and I'll also change it to something like "How Diffy Works"
And here we need way more explanation. Does the red highlighting mean something or are you blocking something out of the screenshot? If it means something, perhaps it'd be better understood by reusing the screenshots from earlier in the page here, so I can see a direct connection between them and how Diffy operates.
Next section with slider could benefit from a little bit of animation to see the slider go back and forth and reveal the differences.
One more quick note, in the menu bar at the top you have "Request Demo" but throughout the page you have "Free Trial". I'd put "Free Trial" in the menu bar as well.
Wow! Mark! Thank you very very much for such a thoughtful explanation. I really love it.
Will definitively address these.
@MDWolinski we have updated homepage https://xd.adobe.com/view/dd4cd7dd-3983-4c8c-6574-5f62d56ffc35-ab7d/ . Can you check it once again?
Sorry about the delay, had a lazy weekend.
I like the design and heading much better. I agree with one comment that the wording probably needs to be rewritten. Take the main headline:
DIFFY helps to find visual changes on your website so you SAVE time on testing
(Not saying this is the best rewrite in the world)
DIFFY finds visual changes on your website saving you time and money on testing
I think a short video or animation showing what the site does might be a positive addition to the page because it'll actually show the workflow a developer would go through and why it's better then their current process.
Thank you!
Hey there Yuriy,
Just had a look, it's working better now.
Left some comments on the prototype : )
thank you Craig! Really like your suggestion on the copy. I think I will AB test it once I launch
Hey Yuriy,
In regards to landing page copy you should always use this format:
Tell me the benefit of your product, then tell me what it is... then tell me what to do.
At the moment, it starts with a problem, and I don't really know what your product is.
Hope this helps.
PS: I'm writing a book on how to create great landing pages.

Thank you Craig. I am reworking elements on the landing page atm and will send you updated version if you don't mind.
I've submitted for the first chapter. Thanks!
@CraigBarber we have updated homepage https://xd.adobe.com/view/dd4cd7dd-3983-4c8c-6574-5f62d56ffc35-ab7d/ . Does it look more clear now?
I like the way you present the problem, "css is hard, fix one thing, break another".
The visitor can immediately relate and they're going to be willing to stop and read what you have to say.
But you need to say all that above-the-fold. The images you use are visually crowded and the image of the guy catches your attention and takes you away from the task at hand. It took me a moment to figure out what was going on in your screenshots. Having your screenshots be about food is distracting too.
Thank you a lot for the feedback. Let me remove the food screenshots from it.
@hostedmetrics we have updated homepage https://xd.adobe.com/view/dd4cd7dd-3983-4c8c-6574-5f62d56ffc35-ab7d/ . Removed food images. Does it look more clear now?
In addition to what others are saying, I'd change the first h1; "managing CSS is hard" is too vague, it could refer to a new CSS framework, a text editor with CSS-management capabilities... who knows? I'd go for something more action oriented ala "work on your CSS audaciously; we'll look for unintended consequences"... probably something shorter and with more zing and rhythm to it, but something along those lines.
Thank you for the feedback. I agree that "managing CSS" is really to vague. Let me work on it a bit more.
@pablof7z we have updated homepage https://xd.adobe.com/view/dd4cd7dd-3983-4c8c-6574-5f62d56ffc35-ab7d/ . Removed the vague phrase about CSS. How does it look now to you?
From the first glance it is a bit difficult to figure out the exact purpose of the service which claims that managing CSS is hard. So I would advise to give a brief description of the functionality on top of the home page and provide more details with the example you already have so that user have a general idea what it does as soon as possible.
I am explaining how we do it later in the landing page. Thought first we need to explain what problem we solve. I am debating with myself right now what should go first -- problem or solution.
I understand your point to explain the problem first and then provide the solution. The visual explanation describes the problem very well. However when I first open the sketch I got lost what this site does because immediate thing that I noticed was that managing css is hard. What if "Our SaaS platform helps.." was on the top?
@ResizePixel we have updated homepage https://xd.adobe.com/view/dd4cd7dd-3983-4c8c-6574-5f62d56ffc35-ab7d/ . Moved title about platform to the top. How does it look to you now?
Much better - now it's clear what your service does.
thank you @ResizePixel
