Landing page feedback needed.

Finally I am done with our landing page and looking for IH feedback before I start announcing it around. What do you think about the landing page? Does it make sense?

Little comment on the copy :) What's the one biggest problem that this product solves? Is it saving time? Is it taking the pain out of what to include? Who exactly is the page speaking to? Frame the copy around the lives pain points/challenges of your target user, and present all the benefits as answers to those challenges.

Also, try the cut the amount of things you're trying to say in half. Right now there's a lot on the page and it's a bit overwhelming.

Frame one message and carry that message throughout the page. Do this by creating a narrative flow to the page, where one section flows logically to the next. Right now, each section jars with the next as they seem totally separate to one another. The 'it's free' banner for example, is just sort of there in between two other unrelated pieces of information.

The more information you give, the more you open up to potentially confusing visitors and sending them away - keep it snappy, to the point, and guide your user down the page logically. The section 'cool tiny touches', for example: make that much more explicitly obvious what you're saying here. Why are they cool tiny touches? Are they cool tiny touches that save you time? Cool tiny touches that no-one else has thought of?

Try to put yourself in your visitors shoes and answer all of the doubts they're likely to have on your product in each section - keep them with you by pre-empting why they might leave:)

      Good luck :)

It's not a shameless plug but if you need a hand with the copy give us a shout at scribly.io - working with quite a few IHers on landing page copy atm.

Thank you Dani. This is helpful.

    Change "Create Impressive Event Proposals"

To: "Create Stunning Event Proposals. Instantly."

Also, this page seems a little pointless https://app.ivently.com/shared/f1549570b5bb7df714a1ae7a2802158acd5c8f35/V2ViLUVu just take me through to the wedding template ASAP.

Thank you for the wording suggestion.

The page is a proposal template built with Ivently. Why do you think it is pointless? I was actually kind of thinking emphasising the samples more.

Sorry if I wasn't clear here. I just don't understand what the page is - it's not obvious that it's a template at all. It looks like a landing page with flowers. Also what or who is Dokumana Git? The logo on your homepage is two tone and on the left - but on this page its all green and on the right. Would be good to be consistent in that regard.

I only see a grey screen so far.

I guess this was due to a CPU issue we fixed this morning, I hope at least :) Thanks for reporting Felix!

What is the one action that you want a user to take when they arrive on your landing page? On the desktop site, it looks like you want the user to "Try now!" OR "Request a demo". I think you should stick with a single CTA, otherwise the user will need to make two decisions - which CTA to click and whether to click at all. On mobile, I only see "Request a Demo".

Visually, my eye is drawn toward the green CTA buttons AND the green buttons in your header. I would consider making the log in / sign up without color.

What is the most important value-add that Ivently provides to users? Put another way, what is the biggest pain point that you are solving? Is sharing with clients on WhatsApp, Instagram and email super important? Or is it saving time (and thus money)? What makes Ivently unique?

Personally, I would include the fact that there is a free edition and that there is no credit card required on top. Make it clear that it is NOT "free to try".

    Hope this helps!

Thank you Howard. I am acting on your feedback.

Please help me understand. Why do folks ask for landing page feedback? I see this effort as completely worthless. Customers validate landing pages, not ui designers, not fellow engineers, not your mother. Customers validate landing pages by one metrics only, conversion rates. You do this with A/B testing and real data. Many inexpensive tools are available for A/B testing landing pages.

    1. 1

A/B test is worth nothing if you don't have enough data to get statistical difference. Small projects like the ones asking for this kind of feedback do not have traffic to reach statistical difference in a reasonable timeframe.

      1. 1

Is a small project worthy of revenue? If so it requires traffic.

    2. 1

I disagree :) You need traffic to validate with data that can actually be called conclusive. Before that, you can definitely get feedback on whether you're theoretically approaching the landing page from a visual/copy/tech perspective to optimise your chances of converting the small traffic you have initially.

      1. 1

That is how a web designer thinks. In reality, without data nothing matters! So any landing page no matter how it looks can collect data with traffic. From that baseline data, changes can be made.

        1. 1

Haha that’s pretty disparaging ;) I’m also not a web designer. I’m jusy someone who’s studied a lot about how to make things convert, there are theories - developed through other people’s data - that it’s always helpful for new founders to get insights/feedback on. Why make the same mistake that others have made before you? That’s just a needless waste of time.

          1. 1

Nobody is suggesting a skill is worthless. But as founders, our time and our energy is spread SO THIN. We must make a priority list every day. And that list changes by the hour. How do we get the fast traction in our business? I am a true believer that conversion rate optimization is great but not priority one when your top of the funnel has zero traffic. Once you have top of funnel traffic, then CRO begins. ...... NOT in the reverse order.

    3. 1

I think this qualitative feedback can provide context to the A/B testing results that you cannot find with A/B testing alone.

      1. 1

Fresh eyes can spot spelling errors, links not working etc.

UI designers might be able to give advice on what doesn't convert as well. Aka carousels.

Copywriters can give you tips on what words to change for high conversions
