#landing-page-feedback Could I get some feedback on how to improve my landing page for designerrecon.com
Value proposition is very clear. My concern here in terms of messaging would be that you're going to be erring on the side of "Sounds too good to be true."
That's not necessarily the worst problem to have (at least people buy the value you're offering), but you might want to consider giving more explanation about your process (how do they do it?) and more proof (does it really work?).
Thank you David, I will be working on creating a more trustworthy experience. Currently, my users are on the page for about 20 seconds before they either enter email, or leave.
Not gonna comment design-wise. As a designer, I don't give a flying f* what the design of the page that gives me amazing leads is.
On a serious note - I don't like height of the page and the useless scroll. I would change it to something like https://imgur.com/a/fzhml8H so font is a bit smaller, everything is visible and the composition is better. That doesn't make it good enough though. I miss some examples, testimonials, etc., to convince clients to use the service.
Now to the important stuff - as a designer and potential customer, I'm worried about getting leads scraped from other websites and not actually acquired by yourself. If you can convince me I'll actually get 10+ leads acquired by the website, I might be your first customer.
Hi Martin, thank you for your feedback. I am by no means a professional designer, however, I do my best to create a trustworthy and appealing site for my project.
I really like the example you gave me, and I am thinking of moving that to the top of the todo list.
My goal is to not use any type of scraper or ripping of leads. All of the leads that come to the dashboard in Designer Recon are gathered and confirmed by myself and the system I built. Currently, I am running ads on Google and will be expanding to various networks and cold searching soon.
I am also looking for designers to test my platform, the sign up is free at the moment and I will honor IH users free use and access to all leads for the remainder of the Alpha phase as I adjust pricing and tiers.
If you have any questions, please shoot me an email at Casey@designerrecon.com
Seems good to me. IF this site is for designers.. maybe you can find a banner / color scheme that's more relatable to the designers would help. my 2 cents
I like the design and the value proposition is very clear. Do you sell leads to the designer? What is the business model? For transparency, you might want to make that clear. Some people may assume hidden costs, spam or other things.
Thank you and my model is client generation for designers and studios. Essentially, I get people to sign up and confirm their interest in finding a designer. Then, I go ahead and add them to the dashboard where designers or studios pay for.
In essence: Clients or leads use the service for free and have designers approach them(email, text, or call). Designers a flat monthly fee for leads
Hope this helps understand where I am trying to improve.
The site looks nice.
As a first-time visitor I wondered: "What kind of designer are they talking about?" A web designer? An airplane-designer? Maybe you can clarify this in the title.
"in just a few hours, for free." sounds "to good to be true" (as stated already by davidoudiette). Needs further explanation.
A minor point: Replace "Submit Query" simply by "Submit".
