1,400 New Followers in 24 Hours 🙌
With Potion, I wanted to be very transparent about the business and build in public. I think this makes perfect sense for Potion because the kind of people that like to follow building in public are entrepreneurs and that is my perfect potential customer for Potion.
I made this tweet:
And it kind of blew up! I guess people really wanted to see what I was going to build and follow along which was great!
It took me a year of being consistent and creating content and sharing on Twitter to get my first 1,000 followers. And then in 24 hours I got 1,400!
Goes to show that you just need to stick with it and things will happen. 😁

I have a couple of questions:
I'm just getting started from a fairly dormant twitter account that had ~110 before I started tweeting about building a product. But I'd guess a lot of those are bots 🤖 accumulated over the years.

My best tweet before this was celebrating a win over getting my first $50/mo customer on my last product. I have noticed that for better or worse, Twitter entrepreneurs like milestones and celebrating wins. Those seem to do pretty well.
I have a podcast productjourney.fm where people get to know me on a deeper level. A lot of the bootstrapper community I am a part of has come from that. I have tried to be decently involved on Indie Hackers as well.
It really was a long road of sharing and trying to make good content.
