1.7M users engaged with the CTA with this simple strategy

This is a story about foundit, India’s leading job portal, and how they wanted their users to update their profile on the portal.

Why was this important?

Well, imagine scrolling through irrelevant job offers clogging up your inbox — not ideal, right?

This happens when your candidate profile isn’t up to date, leading to mismatched job recommendations. foundit customers were experiencing this frustration too.

And if you were a recruiter using the platform, you might end up contacting individuals who either lacked the necessary skills or had no interest in the job.

foundit knew that the solution to this issue was to encourage candidates to update their profiles. But getting busy users to take time out from their day and update their profile isn’t easy. They often forget to update their profiles as they progress in their career.

foundit was already sending them reminder emails but it wasn’t working that well. Many candidates didn’t follow through even after opening these emails.

That’s when Mailmodo came into play and foundit had a lightbulb moment💡.

To fill the gap in their product experience, they embedded forms in the emails. Now, candidates can update their profiles without ever leaving their inboxes.

But this email trick isn’t just for job portals. Any business can benefit from improving their email experience. Here’s how:

Simplify Customer Actions

Let’s say you’re an e-commerce platform. Instead of sending a reminder for customers to review their purchase on your website, why not let them do it directly from the email?

Lesser steps → More engagement

Gather Feedback

Imagine collecting customer feedback without them needing to visit an external site. Embedding surveys or feedback forms directly into emails can significantly increase response rates.

✅Increase customer engagement with gamification

Want to increase customer engagement like foundit? Surely you do.

Imagine your subscribers opening an email and being greeted with a spin-the-wheel game for a discount or a quick poll that lets them share their opinions. This is possible only with interactive emails. Here’s an example of a wordle game inside an email.

Interactive emails are changing the game as we speak. I’m excited to see how businesses will push the boundaries even further with interactivity!
