I created a Bluesky account almost a year ago but it was so quiet I didn't visit much. But, as I’ve been keeping up with various social platforms and continuously testing out various marketing strategies I jumped back on recently.
My cofounder and I chatted about how quickly Blueksy was gaining traction and the recent jump in users.
We decided to post a single article “The Best Bluesky Follower Apps for 2025: A Comprehensive Guide”.
We did this as we noticed there was really only one tool out for this now 20 million user platform. That tool's focus was around migrating from Twitter to Blueksy. Made sense.
We also knew that with the same micro-blogging aspect and founder as Twitter it was a reasonable assumption that folks would look for the same automation / bot aspects that took over Twitter.
The results were insane.
We posted the article Thursday Nov 21st and within 24 hours were ranked #2, had 5 signups, and an email asking when it would be done.
Fast forward to Monday, 28 signups. With one 650 word article that didn’t really have a solution for folks yet.
Needless to say we started the development and managed to launch Bluesky Follower by EOD Wednesday. At the point of launch we already had 55+ signups. If you are curious you can check it out at https://blueskyfollower.com
Since launching and now posting this we’ve already converted over 35% of those folks.
After working on various sales and marketing tools and scaling an agency up to half a million over the last 5 years, a single blog post kicking off what we think is about to become our most popular software is kind of crazy. Funny how that works out...
