As startup founders, we always run into challenges, roadblocks, and speedbumps.
I am curious to hear what is the NUMBER ONE challenge you are running into right now with your startup/side project that you're trying to solve.
You can be as vague or detailed as you like! Could be anything.
OrgPad has about 15000 users at the moment and $475 MRR. The product is great and we just have to find 10x or 100x more people for it (while of course making some improvements). Right now, we try to use Twitter, Reddit and we are building new landing page (fully powered by OrgPad). Any other tips for growing would be welcomed :).
Pavel, I checked your website. Your subscriptions are between €5 and €10 a month, which means that you must have around 60 paying customers? How many active users do you have? Have you asked your current customers what they love or what improvements they'd like to see? Also, something else. As someone who first lands on your page, it took me quite a while to understand what OrgPad does, I had to watch the full video to understand the creative presentation that you have on the homepage, explaining OrgPad using OrgPad! :) What if you used a 5 - 7 words line to show the end benefit of using OrgPad?
Hi, the number of active people is harder to measure but nowadays we have about 200 registered people using OrgPad daily and maybe about 1500 different registered people appearing in OrgPad within the last month. Overall people spent about 10 days of real time using OrgPad every week (where we are very conservative in computing the spent time).
We spent a lot of time talking to our customers, ever since the beginning 3 years ago. Some of them become our good friends and we sometimes even meet in real life. We also have our Discord server where we discuss new improvements, our plan, gather feedback. Also we are very responsive on our in-app feedback/question formular. In this document, we summarize some design decisions which we do not want to change but people often ask for them.
Thanks for the feedback for our current landing page. It is 1.5 years old at the moment and we are creating a new one right now. It will be build directly in OrgPad since OrgPad is a nocode website builder for nocode websites (see this example in Czech). So I would love to get some more feedback when the new landing page is finally out.
Searching for leads. I don't mind writing cold emails or asking people for help. But scouring for leads is a drain!
Hi Steve, what if you outsourced this process? I just discovered this website Online Jobs Ph that I'm thinking of using to hire a few virtual assistants for myself. I have a big vision to become the #1 startup founder coach and coach founders for free and for life just like the legendary "Trillion-Dollar coach" Bill Campbell used to do. I finally understood that I need additional help so I'm looking to hire people who are going to help me those good founders that are changing the world. Ask for help, outsource and focus on what you enjoy or what you can do better than anyone else. Good luck, Angelos.
Also interested in hearing about your struggle with finding leads. With the internet, there's just so much data out there for finding leads.
I hear ya on that! It can be such a mind-numbing thing to do.
What's your process right now? What tools are you using?
