#1 on HN and featured on The Telegraph. What to do next?

https://noageismintech.com

Hi, we have been fortunate enough to launch https://noageismintech.com last month and got lots of upvotes on HN[https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=20252097], being as #1 for 24 hours. This led to attention from The Telegraph, some big companies wanting to join the cause and 8.5k+ users accessing the website on the launching day.

NoAgeismInTech helps "older" tech professionals find companies willing to hiring them. Very much similar to what https://KeyValues.com does, but focused on over 35s.

We couldn't avoid the so-called "trough of sorrow" and now, the traffic is somewhere around 100 users/day. Any suggestions on how could we attract more traffic?

Well your target audience is programmers over 35 so focus on the places where those people hang out. Dev forums, blogs, StackOverflow etc

    Hey Leo, congrats!

I recently started 30 Hour Jobs and I’ve seen similar success in HN (you may have seen it). No major media coverage that I know of though, congrats on that!

It sounds like we’re in similar spots. Want to share ideas and help each other grow? We could do some cross promotion or something.

We serve different niches so I don’t see any need to be competitive. If you’re interested, shoot me and email at nick@30hourjobs.com

Hey Leo, first, congrats on the success. It can seem so fleeting, yet this is already a huge success, signaling to my understanding that you've really hit a nerve with people and that there's a huge potential to serve people. Go out and celebrate in whatever way you enjoy that this has landed so well with folks!

Next, come back to your original mission and vision - helping people over 35 find jobs, meaning and fulfillment in their lives. How can you do that? How can you help place just 1, 2, 3 people in that age group with some of the companies on your list? What do they need to succeed with it? Don't think that just your website is the product, you are the product right now too. Stop thinking about scaling or marketing or more traffic. Jump on a call with people that have given you their email, ask them about their problems and issues finding a job, coach them, educate them, do what you can to help them. I think this will give you the most insights on what to do next.

Congratulations on the high level exposure so early in your journey.

I guess your next move is to keep the conversation going with regular blog posts, case studies, interviews etc, and getting those promoted as much as you can.

    Hello,
    you could try also https://betalist.com/.
You could also try a different approach and test SEM or Facebook/LinkedIn ads (beware LinkedIn ads is not cheap)?

    Did you launch in ProductHunt?

Well, it's an interesting take on job boards. It's just a very saturated market (job boards). Didn't know this problem already existed but I saw it coming. Good luck!

Most of these don’t seem relevant and at least one is a scam link. Careful.

Yes, I’m trying to establish some partnerships with authorities around the ageism subject as well. Let’s see how it goes
