I record using Zoom (separate audio tracks) and edit with Audacity mainly.
Definitely agree the sound isn't great and the editing could use a lot of work. Happy to talk and hear any suggestions you have :)
First off, we would recommend using Zencastr [1] to record your episodes. A lot of our clients use them and love them for remote interviews.
For editing, if you can afford it, we would recommend Audition CC over Audacity for sure, if you know the bits and pieces of how to make use of its amazing features.
