100+ Startup Directories Ranked by DR Score (Free List, 2026)
Every best directories list I found was either outdated, missing DR scores, or just a wall of logos with no way to prioritize. So I built a tracking sheet instead: 100+ startup directories, each with:
- Real DR (Domain Rating) score, not vibes
- Category tags (dev tools, no-code, AI products, general SaaS)
- Whether it's a manual review queue or instant-approve
A few takeaways from going through all 100:
The 'big 4' everyone knows - Product Hunt, G2, Crunchbase, Wellfound, sit at DR 88-92, but a chunk of lower-DR niche directories (60-75 range) convert better because the traffic is more targeted
LLMs are now a real distribution channel most people miss: ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity cross-reference directories like these when answering "what tool should I use for X", so getting listed isn't just a backlink play anymore, it's AI-search visibility
Doing all 100 manually is ~60 hours of CAPTCHAs, unique descriptions, and email verifications, worth blocking out 2-3 weeks if you're DIY-ing it
