100 subscribers for my local newsletter

Hello all! We have hit 100 subscribers. Here is a breakdown on the subscriber acquisition and time it took. Please note, I am not a pro at ads or anything, I am new to all of this. This was my first ad.

Started January 14th: 22 days to 100 subscribers

Primary acquisition channel: Facebook Ads

Facebook Ad Stats:

$145.50 spent

  • 5,019 people reached ($0.029/person reached)
  • 311 landing page views ($0.468/landing page view & 6.20% of people reached went to the landing page)
  • 98 signups from the ad ($1.48/sign up & 31.51% of the people who hit the landing page subscribed)

The ad is a simple ad the just describes what the newsletter is and it sends them to the website/landing page where they can subscribe.

I tried to attach a screenshot of the ad on this post but could not get the image to work, so here is the copy:
"The daily Fresno & Clovis newsletter featuring local restaurants, things to do, deals around town and much more. Delivered free to your inbox every weekday morning. ☕️"

And the ad image is just a phone with a mock version of the newsletter on it and the image has a yellow background.

I am going to scale up my ad spend once I get some more data (I am testing FB vs. IG placements). Then, my plan is to continue to run the ad while I build up the Instagram account. Once I hit 1,000 subscribers, I ma going to look for a sponsor so I can use that money to increase my ad spend and grow faster.

I have an (estimated) idea of what my annual value of a subscriber is so I know where I need to be for subscriber acquisition cost. My goal is 10,000 subscribers at the end of the year.

I hope you all have a great February!!
