As indie hackers, we wear a lot of hats. If you're not a designer, but you've gotta do some design work, this is a super helpful resource.

Great tips, I really appreciate the simplicity of the tips but how it shows the best things aren't super complicated and easy for anyone to do

UI/UX designers are wrong 50% of the time. Customers teach us what is wrong.

    Interesting write up!

What stands out to me is the redundant (even conflicting) information and lack of clarity or explanation for any of these in the first place.

For example, "38. The 3 most popular fonts on Google Fonts (for the masses)" and "87. At least two dozen fonts on sight" are wild suggestions for anyone to make. Knowing popular fonts does not see, to help to build a better designed product in any way.

I disagree. Typography is incredibly important. And the more familiar a designer is with different fonts, the better they'll be at leveraging them. Do you need to memorize them? Maybe not. But it would help.

Of course, this article is geared toward designers, not indie hackers. Indie hackers can take some of this with a grain of salt.

Also, you mentioned a lack of explanation... did you try click each bullet? It shares more info and even sometimes includes other resources.
