100 upvotes and 100 email sign-ups is more valuable than 1000 upvotes

Yesterday I published a new interview on @growthhacklist with @harrydry. There are really some valuable lessons for every indie hacker so I wrote a little summary:

How did he get his first users?

He had about 10 marketing case studies
Each day he shared one of them on Slack groups, Facebook groups, Twitter, Indie Hackers, Reddit etc.
After a week he made it to 100 subscribers
Big effect was also that the companies he was writing about shared the articles

How is he promoting his project?

"You should probably be spending more time promoting your product and less time building it."

He shares every article on Twitter with an Thread and the key facts and on Indiehackers
Runs Twitter ads
He also shares the case studies on Reddit
