I have a few questions, while this is a great list, I have looked at lot of these methods and they have limitations. Subreddits do not allow promotional posts and promote your startup threads have minimal engagement. How do directories help? Many of them are paid or subscriptions? Do they get any traffic?

    1. 4

I have the same experience with subreddits.
      They often delete automatically.

      1. 1

I will agree with @griselgrisel Even I started off doing the same but then I realized, I have to be a part of the community, add value, and then maybe ask for their support.

I feel this is how it should be or else it would look spammy.

    2. 2

What I have seen is that if you post regular content(or even are active in a sub reddit like commenting, upvoting etc) then most subreddits are great for posting promotional content with some benefit for reader(like best -------- for your company insert your niche here.

    3. 2

You have to participate, start earning points, and also understand the way of posting on Reddit. It's tricky depends on each subreddit but after some time you get it!

      1. 1

I have learned this hard way. this is actually how it should be. What's your Reddit id? I'm new to Reddit, learning new things everyday.

        1. 2

It takes time but you will get there, I'm not crazy active, but got their point @griselgrisel

Anyone who has already submitted their startup to all those places?

I’ve been wondering how you got your product screenshot looking just right, when the directory uses some kind of automated screenshot API to publish your product with. Sometimes it makes our website preview look really wonky. Anyone else have similar experience and managed to solve it?

  38. 1
