$1000 spent experimenting with Fiverr for Marketing (Case Study)

sometimes we have to take risks if we want to find the next "new" marketing channel that will work in our favor - that's why we decided to give someone $1000 to test whatever he saw fit in the marketing realm.

and we wrote a case study about it:

i hope this is helpful to you.

cheers,

Excellent article. A lot of detail. Question. Why didn't you cap the first word of every sentence? Takes away from value of article.

i would say that the value is on the content per se, not on capitalization of words.

      don't you agree?

I have dyslexia and leaving out capitalization (and sometimes punctuation) hurts my brain. Instead of focussing on the content I was focussing on reading correctly.

I started reading your article but had to give up after the second paragraph, so, unfortunately, I don't agree.

This is really a problem for you then, and I am sorry.

@nunosancha your comment shows a complete lack of mindfulness for the feedback shared by @stephlow. He basically responded with 'Thanks, I've grown used to people not giving a damn.'

Individual feedback aside: did you know that, according to the University of Michigan, 5-10% of the population has dyslexia? And that number could be as high as 17%. Congrats on sticking to a design decision that provides a subpar experience for not just one person but potentially 17% of your readers.

I am not dyslexic and I too spent the first 30 seconds asking myself 'Is that a typo or a deliberate choice made by the writer, and why?' Ultimately, I stopped reading because it wasn't easy to read.

              what are you talking about?

"This is really a problem for you then, and I am sorry."

this was my comment towards @stephlow feedback, and i meant it... you just ignored it so you could virtue signal?

have a great weekend and stay safe.

I understand and have grown used to it. I appreciate your contribution, just wanted to share my experience.

              rude?

i only told him that i think that the value was on the content itself.

              how this is rude?

I bailed due to the capitalization too. Why make it more difficult for people to read? Anyway, best of luck with it.

Maybe I should run some landing page testing too, great idea!

Btw I have to agree with the testers that fomo.com is not clearly showing what you actually do.

we are well aware of that :)

at Fomo we tend to go with experimental stuff and see how it plays out.

it's odd, but at the same time, it set us apart from all the others that are in the same market. we had cases in the past that companies copied us word by word. now they don't even dare.
