$10k now VS $1k MRR for a year
by

What would you choose and why? ☺️

About 13 minutes into the video, Jason Cohen explains why discounted annual is better than monthly. Basically, you get to use the money to acquire more customers instead of waiting around.
It's not clear if your asking from the point of view of receiving or giving. Since we're on IH, I assumed you mean from the point of view of the business not the customer.
Get $10k now and invest it back into the business for development and marketing. $1k MRR is great but you are potentially slowing down your marketing or development which could be taken a notch a higher by a good investment. I'm assuming the $10k is also recurring income.
If the choice is $10k ARR vs $1k MRR, then definitely the $10k ARR.
If the choice is $10k non-recurring vs. $1k MRR, then definitely the $1k MRR.
I agree with this.
The question isn’t clear whether the $10k is recurring or not.

It really depends on your business
You can take $10k now and invest back into your business to get a larger ROI or you can take $1k MRR and focus on converting to get more than $1k MRR.
$1k MRR in a year is almost $84 dollars a month which really doesn't help with development (coding), marketing and keeping up with inflation of wages/economy
I rather take the $10k
Good question, and I see majority voted for 2nd option... but...
I voted $10K for 2 main reasons:
It's no wonder many businesses opt-in to include a yearly subscription (even at a reduced price) instead of monthly subscriptions, just because they see the value of immediate reinvestment, and probably to keep users coming back as well who knows.
$1k MRR for a year - you get to learn from the customer(s), which in turn allows you to iterate on the constant feedback and improve your product over the course of the year, which in turn attracts more customers like them that want to pay for your product!
Rinse, lather, repeat
oh and you get paid to do this all!
You could definitely still learn from your customers and have a proper channel for feedback even at 10K now deal, and as you said, this communication between business/person and client will attract customers, and not that much the cost proposition.
I can use the $10k to make investments, now. I’m fortunate that a $1k MRR has virtually no impact on my life, but I could make some smart choices and really boost earning potential with a lump to invest all at once.

It greatly depends on the target audience. At the Enterprise-level money is not a big influencer but many other factors such as ROI, budget, or even I know for a fact that they really just buy because their competition is using something similar.
