Maybe this is because of Twitter, but points 3 to 8 might as well not be there without any added examples / instructions.

I want to act on these tips but I can’t because I don’t know how.

Interesting. She puts a huge emphasis over "having your own" voice in multiple points.

      I wonder how that translates.

Specifically with typed content, I feel like it's harder to add 'personality'.

Maybe I just suck at it currently haha.

      Yup, noticed that as well.

    Good stuff.
Two points stood out for me:
"If you create with JOY in your heart... your audience will feel that." and
"Obsess about VOICE. It's the one thing no one else can copy."

Nice 😀! I wish she'd written a little more about the point she made in all caps, "YOUR FROM LINE MATTERS MORE THAN YOUR SUBJECT LINE. (Shouty caps for the people in the back.)" I wonder what from line has worked best for her?

I've also found success with a couple of tips I first read here on IH:

    • Promote specific content rather than promoting your newsletter. @joshspector of For the Interested had success doing this with FB ads but I think in general, this is good advice.
    • Add a postscript to your newsletter to reiterate your most important point and increase clicks on CTAs. (Thanks to the "serial-position effect," people tend to pay attention to postscripts.) You can use a postscript to restate key benefits, repeat a CTA, share valuable information, make a request, or add a personal touch. But make sure to be sparing when it comes to hard sells.

I had the exact same thought.

I like your idea about promoting specific content rather than the newsletter. This keeps things focused on giving value instead of trying to draw attention.

I didn't get this part: "Focus less on the News- and more on the -Letter. Your newsletter is a relationship-builder... not a distribution strategy."

Probably less raw data and more YOU. I've done this in my "Acquisition Channel Opportunities" newsletter where I've analyzed news.
