You're an app for a loyalty program basically. I really like the design, although I feel that the copy falls short when trying to explain how this is different from other loyalty program apps.

I think this is probably the most compelling statement:
"Get customers to come 2-5 times more often."

I'd make that the first thing you see when visiting your page and work a little the rest to make sure you explain why this is different.

Thanks so much! I like that. And the main thing that is different is that it's free and we don't require any hardware. I guess we could make that more apparent!

Overall I think the landing page is pretty clear and I understood what you are offering. However I think you should work on making the copy more compelling for your target market. It's too generic. The eight non-clickable feature cards are taking up too much space and aren't helping you tell the story. Have you tried asking potential customers to describe it for you, or to repeat back what they think, or want from such solution?

Keep in mind some of your target market may be completely non-technical and you should be able to very quickly tell a compelling story that resonates for them without them having to try and understand "features". I'll leave further advice for people who are better versed in marketing copy.

I think you're in an interesting space, and you've gotten off to a good start on the blog. Well done and keep hacking.

We are working on the features page so they would be clickable and then be able to take them to a more in depth version of the feature. But yes, we will have to change the copy on it to tell more of a story. We should really change the word "features" to something different all together. Thanks so much!

My pleasure. I look forward to following it and hope you get traction.

Spend some extra time thinking about adoption and on boarding and keep it low friction for all parties.

i like the website its very clear and the colours are nice. what I understood from the message is that you are targeting businesses to offer them a way for them to have a loyalty program with their customers. Which is not clear is how.. is it though an app you are creating or are you building the business an app?

    1. 1

@sicreto But we are not creating each business their own personal app. We are creating one app/software that every merchant will use to control their loyalty program. Then every user will use one other app to interact with all the companies. So just two apps in total.

    2. 1

Thanks for the feedback! And we are actually building both. We are creating one app for the user where they will be able to use and interact with the companies. And one app for the merchants where they will be able to edit their specific company details including rewards, discounts, etc... Should we consider changing the text a bit to be more informative or should we add in a video of some sort? @sicreto

      1. 2

Ah okay i get it now, very cool! Maybe just show both apps? It will be clear that one is for the user and one for the businesses. Or maybe add two sections to the website. One that focuses on the business acquisition side and another for the user where you can explain that through the app they are able to benefit from the loyalty programs of different businesses.

        1. 1

That's a great idea. I feel like right now we have a mix of the two. We will totally implement that. Thanks!

I clicked. I gave the page one read. At no point did I not know what you did or were about. Looks good.

It doesn't make me want to slap a BUY NOW button right away, but I think you're communicating very clearly, and the design is very clean. Nice work.

Not sure from the copy about who your market is initially. It sounds a little like you don't want to say "Run a loyalty program for your restaurant, barbershop, or other small business for free". Really like the idea though

Like said already by other people , you miss some clear USPs (Unique selling propositions) , its a bit like a claim to make.

I think it's almost there. The general concept was clear but the specifics were a bit hard to grasp. If you could explain what users get in one sentence what would that sentence be?

Also the little animations below the fold are awesome - How'd you go about making those?

    1. 1

Ya that makes sense. We will have to look at the copy again. And our CTO is also a pretty great designer. He made them with after affects.

      1. 1

TIL After Effects could animate svg's...

I've been doing it the hard way with GSAP.

        1. 1

CTO of this product here. :) Look into Lottie and BodyMovin plugin by Airbnb. Greatest thing ever! Thanks for the interest.

          1. 1

            Ooh. That's really cool!

... But... having wasted far too much time already coding the wordmetrics.com homepage animations in js, I'm going to not go there! :D

Next time though. Thanks for the tip.
