Hi Guys
In true Indie Hacker spirit, I would like to share our Beta user acquisition strategy and explain what is working and what isnt
Background
Webautomation.io is a SAAS platform where you can Quickly extract data from websites and turn into APIs or CSV to use in your application or services without writing code. We Launched the Beta MVP with a concierge service which helps build a web scraper for you for free to run/schedule on the platform
General Strategy
- Drive traffic into a squeeze page to capture user emails and then convert a percentage of those into users
- Engage in online communities like Getworm, Facebook groups, Twitter etc
- Build an email list and keep list warm with value add emails
What is working
- Focused squeeze page highlighting benefit of our product and benefit for customers to use our service/product.
- Generous amounts of credits to run the free trials
- Online chat to get feedback, people are more honest and wiling to give feedback via chat at the time they are using the product
- Dedicated support always available to support customers
What isnt working
- Onboarding phone call; Feedback was that it was too much commitment to spend 30min on a call without trying out the tool first
- Leading with "Free" most people are more interested in if we can deliver our value proposition and improve their business/achieve their data goals
- Email feedback; People never get round to documenting and feedback they have and emailing it
Guys, please if you have any tips that worked for you please share I would appreciate
