15 awesome Substack newsletters from IH community

3 days ago we asked the IH community for design inspirations on Substack. It was really impressive to see how writers maximize creativity under minimal constraints.

Really appreciate all the feedback and advice. Launched my first issue for Virtual Mojito finally.

Without further ado ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thats a great work Felix. During the Lockdown in France I curated every day a list of the tech virtual meetup / Livestream of the day into a daily NL. People received like "Here you'r daily dose of online meetup today". Here what it looked like at the time https://www.getrevue.co/profile/Airparty/issues/airparty-daily-curated-playlist-246477 With the NL I tagged every single people / brand I quoted into the NL on Linkedin + Pod. Huge growth but time consuming and the NL had to be deliver before 10AM. At the beginnig I curated all kind of livestream about tech then I selected only regular tech shows. Then only regular tech show for indie. I used getrevue + zapier + a little glide app. I made my glide app like netflix where you can discover/retrieve the best shows with their latest episodes which where virtual meetup. It was a greeaaaat indie XP for me. I built a 700 subscribers NL. Then I had to keep my second little girl @ house so I drop the daily routine and made my NL weekly. Not the same taste. Then I asked to the hosts of the regular shows I stacked every day if they wanted to come into a slack group talking to each other. I will explain the suite of this story on a dedicated post on IH cause its a long story but long story short : 1/articulation between NL content and what people founded on Glide was tricky. Kind of doublonning trap. 2/there is a HUGE difference between Livestream with hundred of people and Virtual Meetup where you can zooming with few. 3/International coverage is the painpoint if you want to go global. See what The Fetch made https://thefetch.substack.com/. Congrats for you Mojito Felix !
