15 hours since Rappelo was launched: how we help solopreneurs and small businesses

Hey Indie Hackers,

I am Alexandru Ene and together with my co-founder, Cristea Theodora, we launched Rappelo.

The Problem we noticed: solopreneurs and small teams have a response time problem. If you don't answer a lead in 5 minutes, the chance of winning them dramatically decreases. But when you are the one doing the work, you can't live in your inbox and check your phone minute by minute.

The Solution: We built Rappelo to be the "Safety Net." It’s a simple lead recovery tool that focuses on speed:

  • Fast Onboarding: 60 seconds onboarding

  • Instant Alerts: Know the second a lead hits your site

  • Snooze Alerts: Remind me in 10, 30 or 60 minutes

  • Neglect Detection: A daily nudge if a lead hasn't been contacted

  • Simple Dashboard: View lead status and follow-up performance analytics

  • Zero Complexity: No complex CRM features

The Launch Reality: We are currently live for 15 hours already on Product Hunt and, honestly, we are not in the top of the leaderboard (#118). But we are here to find our first 50 "Founding Members" who want to help us build the road ahead.

Tech Stack:

  • Next.js

  • Supabase

  • Tailwind CSS

  • Resend

  • Stripe

We would love to hear from you, your support and feedback is important to us!

We will be in the comments all day. You can ask us anything!

The “respond in 5 minutes or lose the lead” hook is powerful.

A short demo/lunch video showing the exact workflow could boost both PH engagement and homepage conversions.

I specialize in SaaS launch videos — can share a concept if helpful.

    1. 2

Thank you! We appreciate your help! We are making some updates right now and we are already thinking and working on a demo.

      1. 2

ok this video will act as Face of your SaaS. you can use in marketing (for better conversation and engagement), on pitch to some one also you can put on your website. That short engaging video tell whole SaaS . It is also best for product market fit. before you finish fully. Let me know what you think if you want i can share some of my previous client work

        1. 2

Yes, as I said, we are already working on it and we know how important it is. And we'll contact you, if we need additional help! Thank you!

This 'response time anxiety' is so real. Losing a lead because you were getting coffee feels terrible. I've found that this micro-stress compounds with the macro-stress of financial runway. That's actually why I built Runway Rocket - to at least quantify the 'money anxiety' part so I could focus on the 'product/sales' part like you're solving here. Congrats on the launch! Do you plan to add any 'team' features later for when these solopreneurs grow?

    1. 1

Thank you so much! Yes, there are lots of features I am thinking of for the future and one of them is indeed having team features. But for the moment we are focusing on sharing with the world and scale as we go.

  3. 2

Congrats on launching 👏 getting something out fast is already a big win.

I like that you’re sharing results so early instead of waiting for a “perfect” story.

What surprised you most in the first 15 hours: user behavior, traffic source quality, or onboarding drop-off?

    1. 1

Thank you! Well, we prepared ourselves before launching for everything we could think of. So there were actually no big surprises. I can't think of any right now.

  4. 2

Congrats on the launch! The neglected lead detection is a really smart feature. Speed of response makes a huge difference, especially for solopreneurs who are handling everything themselves.

I like the focus on keeping things simple instead of building a full CRM. Many founders don’t need complexity, they just need to make sure no opportunity slips through the cracks.

How are you currently getting your first users — mostly from Product Hunt or direct outreach?

    1. 1

Thank you so much! We actually do anything we can think of, anything we think it will work out. We try to reach as many users as we possibly can.

      1. 2

That’s the right mindset, especially early on. Distribution is usually harder than building the product itself.

I’m in a similar phase right now and experimenting with different channels like SEO, founder communities, and directory listings to see what brings the most engaged users.

Have you noticed any channel bringing higher-quality users so far, or is it still too early to tell?

        1. 1

I am not sure I prefer one channel of distribution over another. As a founders, I think we should be present everywhere. None of them is scalable at first, but it compounds in time.

          1. 1

Really agree with the compounding point.

In early stages, it feels like nothing is scalable — but consistent presence across communities, directories, and SEO experiments slowly builds momentum.

One thing I’ve started noticing is that different channels bring different intent levels. Launch platforms bring visibility, but niche communities often bring more thoughtful feedback.

Still early, but observing retention and repeat usage feels more important than raw traffic numbers.

Curious if others here are tracking retention by channel?

  5. 2

Interesting — especially the part about “If you don't answer a lead in 5 minutes, the chance of winning them dramatically decreases.” What’s the one thing you’d do first if you had to restart from zero?

    1. 1

Wow, this is actually a hard one! But I do believe that, mostly, the app would look 90% the same. I cannot tell what I would do different... I cannot imagine right now!

  6. 2

Clean positioning. Speed-to-lead is a real revenue lever for small teams.

A few security and reliability angles to think about early:
    • Are lead details encrypted at rest, especially emails and phone numbers?
    • If you send instant alerts, how are you protecting email / webhook integrations from abuse or replay attacks?

Since this tool sits at the top of the funnel, data integrity matters. If alerts fail or leads are lost, trust disappears fast.

Concept is strong and focused. If you keep it simple but secure and reliable, solopreneurs will value it.

    1. 2

Thank you for your security perspective!
Yes, we do encrypt data with AES-256 and we protect against abuse using strict rate limit. We care about data integrity, so we validate input both on frontend and backend.

      1. 2

Clean concept. Speed to lead drives revenue.

When your product sits at the top of the funnel, data integrity is revenue integrity. Lost leads or abused integrations damage trust fast.

We build Nautillo Pro with the same principles. Strong encryption. Strict boundaries. Clear audit trails.

We also offer a free version. If you want to evaluate your own web app from an external attacker perspective, Nautillo Pro is available to test.

        1. 1

Thank you! We'll check it out!

  7. 2

Well, this sounds like a community driven work :)
    hope it works out

    1. 2

      Thank you so much! :)

  8. 2

    Congrats on the launch 👏
Quick question: are you enforcing SPF/DMARC already?
I reviewed a batch of newly launched SaaS recently and ~30% had no SPF configured, which silently hurts follow-up deliverability.

    1. 2

Hey, thank you! And thank you for pointing that out!
We are using Resend and we made sure SPF/DMARC/DKIM were set up correctly before launch. So we are solid on deliverability. Appreciate your eagle eyes, though!

Are you seeing many founders missing DMARC these days?

Feel free to say what you have on your mind! Thank you again!
