15 years of industry experience, zero coding skills, and a lot of grit: My journey building Curio

I’m going to be completely honest: building a product when you can’t write a single line of code is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I have 15 years of experience in the service and business sectors—cafes, retail, bookstores, and theater. I’ve spent my life understanding what makes people tick and how to deliver quality in the real world. But now, I’m trying to translate that human-centric expertise into a digital platform, and the learning curve is steep.

I’m currently building Curio, an art meritocracy for niche artists, using no-code tools (Base44).

It hasn't been a smooth ride. There are days where I feel like I’m hitting walls that a developer would breeze past in minutes. But I’m moving forward because I believe in the vision: a space where artistic merit matters more than engagement-bait algorithms.

I wanted to share this because I know I'm not the only one here trying to bridge the gap between "non-technical background" and "launching a product."
