$16,823 Net Revenue in 17 days on AppSumo

UPDATE:

We redo the same deal on our own website and multiply by 3 the Appsumo sales 🤷🏻‍♂️

(at the end after the initial bump we were just sending customers to them more than they were sending to us... Do SEO ;)

What a ride!!!😅

Yes, just 17 days ago we launched CTRify on app sumo:

https://www.ctrify.com/ai-that-do-webs-content-traffic-and-backlinks

I want to share this here because to let others know from this experience that there is a lot of outdated information online...

I added the product to the marketplace on October 10 and went live after review on November 13...just in time for their BlackFriday campaign...

The deal is this... We set the price and they get a very well-earned 30% per sale if the purchase is done by one new user then we get the 95% of the sale (we had just a few of those)

It started slowly, but we got our first review (unsolicited) the first day, and also 3 sales.

So far the best day was the last day of the Black Friday campaign where we sold 14 codes with a net revenue (less 10% extra discount of $1,781.87 USD

We don´t know how much exposure we had but was not that match as the dashboard says we have a 4.73% Conversion Rate and just an average of 200 views a day.

Now looks like the waters are calm again but we still getting daily sales so we are really happy.

It is true that we haven´t done any kind of promotion as they suggest (only a tweet) and we haven´t asked for reviews (as we really wanted to have real feedback), and I have read that if you get more reviews you get more exposition... so let's see what happens when we reach there.

So far the community has been awesome and we are very happy with our new customers as they have helped us a lot to improve the product in these few days.

One of the main advantages of having coded all the platforms from the ground is that when a bug occurs, or a customer comes with a great idea for a feature that can improve the product we can act pretty fast.

It is true that (as we read here and there) that there is a lot of bargain hunters, ultra-demanding bad customers, but fortunately we didn´t have had many, just 2 or 3. I think that many of them are used to getting a lot of free things, and most of them just buy to take advantage of the young startup instead of help, but those are the less.

As some of our new customers from Appsumo explains in their 5 tacos reviews, we didn´t offer what they say is a usual LTD (live time deal) that may be something like, sell your soul to the customer for the slave you for $20 bucks or something like that ;) But they are happy... And we knew they were happy as we have a lot of customers paying the full price.

On SaaS pricing, I agree 100% with what @tomjacquesson says on this tweet:

If you plan to launch on Appsumo, ( I really recommend) you must think very well about what your price strategy will be and calculate that you won´t see a penny from them until 60 days after each closing month...

We will have our December Appsumo revenue in our pocket around February 2022, but that is not a problem as we had already good revenue before the launch, so having it on our bank or on the Appsumo balance is not a big deal.

Well, this is all! If you have any questions about the launch or about our product just ask ;)

@albertomr3, how many sales did you make in the end?
I don't understand how 14 sales worth $1781 lead to $16823 in net revenue.

14 sales? Who said that? Our sales price is 197... Less 30% is 137 USD at that time was around 120 sales... now we are reaching 300+
