$18K/Month Selling Templates, Plugins & Courses in the Spanish Market.

Hey Indie Hackers! I'm Niall Doherty from eBizFacts.com. I've been operating solo for over a decade now – earning about $25k/month from my own business these days – and I do a ton of research on how people make money online and different business models.

I wanted to share what one might call a vertical market.

Here’s the story of Pau Forner, the founder of Una Vida Online

Pau started this website back in 2018 as a side gig to share his knowledge and experience in blogging and affiliate marketing.

Fast forward to today, and Pau's business is generating a monthly revenue of $18,000 with a healthy profit margin.

So, how does he do it?

Pau does it by selling online courses, WordPress themes/plugins, and community memberships.

Additionally, around 50% of his total revenue comes from well-positioned affiliate sites in the Spanish market.

I love seeing successful businesses like this in non-English speaking markets. It’s a good reminder of the opportunities that are out there.

If you're fluent in a language other than English, have you ever considered exploring business ideas that have worked well in English-speaking markets? Share your thoughts!

In previous newsletters, I've covered some great examples of successful ventures in non-English markets. For instance, there's a Danish newsletter raking in $285,000 per month.

Pau's journey wasn't without its challenges.

In the beginning, it was tough and he almost gave up. He could only work on his websites at night, and for the first eight months, he didn't make any money.

But then, after eight months of perseverance, he earned his first affiliate commission of just €2.06. That small win motivated him to keep pushing forward.

And boy, did it pay off! After two years, Pau was making more money from affiliate commissions than his full-time job. That's when he decided to quit his job and focus entirely on his online projects.

Pau also emphasizes that you don’t need to be an expert to get started…

"When you start, make a list of your interests and what you are good at, and try to solve a very specific problem in the most practical way possible. Don’t be afraid of not being an expert. Even if you are not an expert now, you’ll have to research to create content for your website or channel, so you will likely have become one by the time your business starts getting some visibility."

Sure this does take time, it takes good amount of efforts to get going initially.

The point is in sticking to it and showing up everyday.
