Question - does anyone have experience with "no code" solutions like bubble.is? or does anyone have recommendations for other tools?

Context: I'm in the early stages of my journey. Trying to decide if I should learn to code or use another tool like bubble to get a MVP into the world faster.

Hey @tymonster3 I just launched Clarify on Product Hunt and also built on Bubble. Check it out and see if this helps you decide on what to do.

I exclusively build on bubble. It's great for building web apps/validating ideas fast. I've found that no-code apps won't cover everything, so knowing some code is still useful and can compliment bubble. Here's my most recent bubble app: http://beelink.co

I exclusively build using no-code tools. Bubble is a great option, though like anything else, it's easy to build garbage. There's a learning curve, but it's really powerful. Word of advice: DON'T try to use it for a Mobile app. You can use it for a backend, but don't build a webview based app.

That last point is very self-serving. I'm a moderator on the Bubble forums and I cringe everytime someone complains that Apple rejected their web-based attempt at a mobile app.

@andrew_bpco what would you recommed for doing a native mobile app?

I haven't released any to production, but the tools I'm dabbling with right now are:

        • Kinetise
        • Dropsource
        • Glide
        • Thunkable X
        • Creo (not totally codeless)
        • Supernova Studio (definitely not codeless, but nice)

      Thanks! That's helpful context.

Hi @tymonster3! I'm not familiar with Bubble but are you sure you need to code to prove your idea?
At achieved, we're only considering now coding. We first tool 2 months to interview potential buyers and experts with no slides then with few slides. Finally we created a landing page and built a social media presence.
What would you expect from this MVP?
Also, from what I see you'd be able to create a POC but I'd not call that an MVP.

Recently some non-technical people at my work built a prototype interface in bubble. They wound up making a working prototype product in our real estate company that was able to get leads from external realtors. The main person that built it left the company and they've had a little trouble maintaining it.

All-in-all I'd say that their work was very effective. It allowed them to build a prototype and prove it's value. This prototype is going to now be rebuilt in our "real" system. The data generated by bubble was easily exported for us to import into our system. There might be some duplicate work but the duplicated work was initially performed by non-technical employees. I look at it as a nice product research/development/prototyping tool.

Awesome. I'm only looking at bubble to build a prototype, so I'm going to dig into it more.

I do! There is a little bit of a learning curve with bubble but it's not a steep as say javascript. Once you get the hang of it it's very good for building MVPs!
