I'm from Africa, Namibia to be specific and from personal experience I have noticed a lack of direction for the very few aspiring indie hackers and makers here.
A Lack of direction from product development to customer development. I personally have the same challenge where I'm building and working on a product and just get stuck not knowing what the next step should be.
I was thinking that perhaps we need some kind of platform for assistance from the people who have experience in building. By people with experience I mean indie hackers like yourself who are currently or have been working on building products and getting to customers. Anyways what I'm getting to is would you as an indie hacker be interested in providing assistance non-financial support to African based founders ? or not just African but locations where experiences in being a indie hacker is not very common or hard to find.
How would you see it working?
cc @mezod who's had similar issues in Barcelona. It's hard to find a lot of advanced founders or successful companies there.
This is something I'd like to work on more this year with Indie Hackers — connecting founders to each other directly via the website, maybe 1-on-1 or in small groups.
One thing I'm starting with are office hours. Our first office hours session is happening today at 2pm PST with Vincent Woo. If all goes well, there should be many more sessions to sign up for in the future!
