1st Time IndieHacker seeks roasting of MVP! 🙃🔥

Procrastination over!! Here is the MVP I've been working on with friends. @kencasey & @walterholohan

Launch video calls from any platform. No sign-ups, email addresses or logins required.

We've started with a Telegram Bot, enabling Telegram group calls.

Checkout our landing page and Telegram bot. Let us know:

  1. What do you like, if anything about the product?
  2. What needs improving?
  3. Do you see any other uses for this secure and anonymous video calling?

    I'm getting "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS" error on Chrome

      Hmmm, do you get this when you click on:

      1. https://getvideo.chat/
      2. The "Try video call" buttons on the landing page
      3. When you click the url the bot returns in Telegram

        The page doesn't load at all. There's an issue with redirect. Inspecting a little bit and the reason is that "getvideo.chat" redirects to "www.getvideo.chat", which redirects back to "getvideo.chat", creating a infinite loop.

          Thanks for investigating @GiancarlloRojas. Can you retry? It was a pesky redirect loop that webflow has if you make the non-www the default domain. We have reverted back to using www.getvideo.chat as the default.

          I'll investigate this right now. We use Webflow and Cloudflare for the landing page, so there must be some config setting off! Strange that it loads for me.

          In the immediate short term, you can checkout the Telegram bot by:

          1. Adding @getvideochatbot to a Telegram group
          2. Typing /video
          3. Clicking the link that the bot returns

    Congrats @PDffy. Neat design and copy.

    I couldn't try it as I don't use Telegram much but I do see value in secure comms. Are you targeting this for personal or business use?

      You can also access a video room directly, eg. by sharing this link with others on any platform: http://secure.getvideo.chat/alidemocall

      To start we're targeting personal users, to gather feedback and refine the core product. But we are very curious to see if there are valuable enterprise use cases where instant and anonymous video is needed.

    Tried it. Takes me to telegram page then when I click “send message” it tells me “safari can not open, address is invalid”.

    I like the idea though.

      Hi @trola04 , you can navigate straight to the Telegram bot by using this link: https://t.me/getvideochatbot

      A unique video call url should be generated. You can share this link with anyone else you would like to join the video call. The link does not expire, and no passwords are needed.

      You can write /video to the Telegram bot to generate additional unique urls.

      Alternatively, you can:

      1. In a Telegram group you are in, click "add members"
      2. Type in the bot name: "GetVideoChatBot"
      3. Add the bot and type /video
      4. A video call url will be created
