I'm launching an MVP landing page for a service I want to start that targets business owners who need a website, but are too busy to hire a freelancer or build it themselves.
The flow will go something like this:
- User fills out form
- User's data will populate website templates I've made
- User will then be able to visit X amount of websites - all populated with their data
- User selects which website he/she wants
- User can decide to select any other template at any time
I see my USP as follows:
- Its very expensive to build or find someone to build your website. It takes money and time to get a website made, my service eliminates the time barrier for first-time users.
- Its very expensive to redo your website, again in both time and money. My service makes it free and instantaneous to get your redo (see Step 5).
Please be as brutal as humanly possible in your feedback.
Thank you!
Very broad "build websites"
is it ideal for landing pages for ecomm?
Carrd and Landen and even Mailchimp and convertkit have landing pages. Are all pretty darn easy to use and seem to take care of 50% of needs.
Could this be a productized service? Someone records a video of them explaining what they want (faster and less UI intensive) uploads it and then 24 hours later gets 3 versions.
Thanks for the input. I really like that idea about doing video uploads - I'm taking it! I certainly am looking to productize it, but its harder to make that clear than I thought it would be.
I didn't realize how broad of a market I was going after, I'm going to have to think about which niche I should start off specializing in. I don't want to compete for landing page builders, but I do want to offer that as a lead magnet since its so easy to set up (relative to building a full site) and other companies are doing it which means it should help for lead gen.
