    Oh I missed your launch.
For those of you launching a product on Product Hunt for the first time, I've written a blog that might be helpful for first-time launchers. Since I am new to the community, I am not allowed to post links, so I'm sharing a snippet of suggestions based on my experience.

Strategic Timing: A month prior to your official launch date, consider listing your product as “coming soon.” This strategic move not only builds anticipation but also allows users to discover your upcoming launch, setting the stage for engagement.

Discussion Engagement: In the lead-up to your launch, initiate discussions for three consecutive days. This approach significantly increases the likelihood of users checking out your launch when they spot the “launching soon” tag next to your profile photo.

Community Building: Actively engage with other users by voting for their launches, and leverage platforms like LinkedIn to establish connections and seek support. Building a network of supporters can prove invaluable during and after your launch.

Time Management: While Product Hunt is undoubtedly a worthwhile launch platform, it’s important not to overinvest time. Instead, focus on acquiring real customers by identifying and engaging with your niche audience. Your time is best spent where it can generate meaningful results.

Aim for the Top Spot: After experiencing a launch, set your sights on the #1 position. Often, startups begin with a minimum viable product, but as your product matures, aspire to claim the top spot on Product Hunt.

I will share the link to the blog when it's possible.

Update: now I can share a link.

If you think you'll launch and magical things will happen, 99 percent certainty is it will fizzle out. Even if you gain massive attention for a short while without a deliberate marketing strategy things will fizzle out.

Focus on getting the word out, building out an audience that's genuinely interested in what you're doing and maybe you have a chance. Everything else is a distraction.

"building out an audience that's genuinely interested in what you're doing and maybe you have a chance. Everything else is a distraction." - do you have some advice on how to go about this?

Don't worry about it being a smash hit on day one. Odds are it won't be. Just keep building and take advantage of whatever momentum you do get from the launch. Good luck!

I'd say make sure to message everyone you know on LinkedIn that is by any means connected to tech in one way shape or form and get them to upvote you, that's what my buddy did and he got 350+ upvotes.

As far as I know, most of the first releases are not very successful, and so am I. although I got Day # 6 for my first release, it has been a very happy result for me.
