Hey IH fam!
If you're also running multiple side hustles and are still in a full-time role, then you will know how I feel. The few hours of side hustles before going to bed is like gold!
I don't expect a huge return, those side hustles (4 projects in parallel now) got me thousands of new connections, new knowledge and many more un-measurable impact.
Don't give up too early. Don't stop learning.
I started self-learning illustration design on 1 Jan, building in public on Twitter for 110 days, launched and start selling my work on 12 April.
Gave myself a few days off, and I just returned to IH.
So far I got 1,314 people who stopped by my site, 427 curious bunches who viewed my work and got $39 from them.
Super grateful that people enjoy my work -> AbstractLab.co, it would be fantastic to hear your feedback :)
Congratulations! I know the feeling, just got my 1st paying customer last week which was AWESOME!!
Just wondering, can't I get these visuals from shutterstock/adobe?
Hey @prateekrmathur thanks for your kind words :)
Technically you can get everything online, including illustrations from many sources like shutterstock or other marketplaces or designers. I'm putting myself into the designers category will be only focusing on small batch production, unique styles for different use case.
Very cool! Be the king of the niche!
The website is great and I would much prefer buying direct from the artist than on adobe stock or something like that. Keep up the good work! 🔥
Thank you so much @startupbarista - really appreciate your kind words :)
How can I make the website better?
Not sure. It looks very straight forward to me and based on the numbers you shared with us your conversion rate is 1%. I bet it will increase when you release the other packs. 😃
I don't know how you do it - having a full-time job + running 4 projects = crazy!
Thanks for always sharing the real side of your story - Let's keep going together!!
Some secret energy :p
For sure. Keep it up bro!
yay you! Curious - how do you manage 4 projects at once plus a day job with no burnout? I'm having a hard time balancing 2 + a day job!
Discipline, really. I wake up early to do my own projects, if I need a rest, I rest.
I'd also breakdown my projects into super super small churns, so I wont procrastinate too much and I can see small progress moving.
ooh, gotcha. How small are the chunks? Like send 5 emails, reach out to 3 people small? And do you use Habit stacking or any technique like that?
If I need to send 5 serious emails, I’ll breakdown into send 1 email, make the task recurring daily from Monday to Friday.
That makes sense! Thank you!
