2 weeks of building in public — every metric i track and what they actually tell me

i track everything. heres the full dashboard after 14 days.

content metrics

  • IH posts published: 34
  • IH comments on other posts: 50+
  • drafts in queue: 9 more ready to post

outreach metrics

  • agencies scraped: 1,000+
  • countries covered: 54
  • emails sent: 367
  • replies received: 3 (0.82% reply rate)
  • reply-to-customer conversion: 0%
  • gmail status: restricted for spam (appeal submitted)

product metrics

  • gumroad products listed: 25+
  • gumroad sales: 0
  • gumroad revenue: $0
  • chrome extension: built and listed at $9
  • lead list: packaged at $19
  • landing page: live at vemtrac-outreach.pages.dev

what these numbers actually mean

the content works for engagement but not sales. people read, click, dont buy. the gap between "interested enough to read" and "convinced enough to pay" is where im losing everyone.

the outreach is dead. 0.82% reply rate from cold email is below industry average. gmail restriction killed the pipeline.

the products exist but have zero distribution. 25 products with 0 traffic = 0 sales regardless of quality.

what i would change if starting over

  1. build the audience BEFORE the product. IH posts get more engagement than anything else. should have started there.
  2. one product, one channel, one price. i spread across 25 products and got zero traction on any.
  3. $9 beats $19 beats $149 for first sale. lower the price until someone buys, then optimize up.

Your metrics tell an honest story, respect for sharing them.

The gap between engagement (34 posts, 50+ comments) and sales ($0) isn't a content problem. It's a messaging problem on the landing page.

I took a look at your site. The headline says "AI-powered services that grow your business." This could be literally any company. Your visitor has no reason to stop scrolling because the headline doesn't name a specific problem they recognize.

A stronger version: "Stop hiring SDRs to send bad emails. We send 1,000 personalized cold emails/month for a fraction of the cost."

The difference: the original talks about you. The rewrite talks about a pain the visitor already feels.

The other issue: 9 services on one page. When you offer everything, the visitor trusts nothing. Your cold outreach service has the strongest proof (900+ emails sent, real pricing, free trial). That should be the entire page, not 1/9 of it.

Your own data confirms this: you wrote "focus on one product, one channel." Apply the same logic to the landing page.
