2 weeks of building in public — every metric i track and what they actually tell me

i track everything. heres the full dashboard after 14 days.

content metrics

  • IH posts published: 70+
  • IH comments on other posts: 50+
  • dev.to articles: 33
  • drafts in queue: 15 more ready to post

outreach metrics

  • agencies scraped: 1,000+
  • countries covered: 54
  • emails sent: 367
  • replies received: 3 (0.82% reply rate)
  • gmail status: restricted (appeal pending)

product metrics

  • gumroad products listed: 26+
  • gumroad sales: 0
  • gumroad revenue: $0
  • chrome extension: listed at $9
  • lead list: packaged at $19 with free 50-agency sample
  • landing page: live at vemtrac-outreach.pages.dev

what these numbers actually mean

the content is working for engagement but not for sales. people read, they click, they dont buy. the gap between "interested enough to read" and "convinced enough to pay" is where im losing everyone.

the outreach pipeline is paused. gmail restriction killed it entirely.

the products exist but have zero distribution to buyers. 26 products with 0 buyer traffic = 0 sales regardless of quality.

what i would change if starting over

  1. build the audience BEFORE the product. my IH posts get more engagement than anything else. should have started there.
  2. one product, one channel, one price. i spread across 26 products and got zero traction on any.
  3. $9 beats $19 beats $149 for first sale. lower the price until someone buys, then optimize up.
