Yes, I've invested almost $20k in this project so far.

I'm watching the TikTok video and WOW, that's a HUGE design work right there. Congratulations for that!
My question: are you aware of the term lean startup and how are you sure that's the correct path to go?
Just yo clarify my question: I'm not asking if you are confident or not. I know you are. I'm asking how are you sure about it.
Thank you!
I'm aware that investing 20k into something is extremely risky and that I should probably have stared with something much smaller. Like an MVP.
But I've also studied the market and have a lot of people lined up to join the platform.
I somewhat pre-sold the idea before we started building it :)
That's great to hear, very relieved to know that. I hope you share the updates in IH. Good luck!
Thank you for the support and following along, it truly means a lot :)
Every week there'll be a new video + written update!
Cheers and thank you,
Vasco
Are you sure you are going in a good direction?
I'm very confident that the direction in which we're taking this project is the right one yes
You mention you've spent $30 grand on the project - where did the cash come from? Did you work somewhere before launching it.
Kudos to take a risk and pursuing the business. Aside from investing the money into building it, are you generating revenue yet?
Also, the numbers you mention above are ~18K, where'd the other 12 go.
I owned a digital marketing agency where I had a couple of monthly retainers. I also did a bit of freelancing on the side for a while.
Then ditched the marketing agency and went all in on doing freelance work.
I still do it to this day, and that plus the money I saved from my agency is what's funding the platform.
Part of the reason why I'm building a freelance platform is that I've been freelancing for so long and picked up on a lot of issues the current platforms have :)
In regards to the 30k that's a mistake on my end lol, sorry about that. I clearly don't know how to do simple addition.
The breakdown is β¬16k for the dev which is about $18k, then ~$2k for the designer and all the other costs, the full amount invested is about $20k yes, not $30k.
Btw I released this video I had on my PC for a while and it goes a bit more in detail on how I got the money (it's old, poorly edited and it overall sucks, but I felt like It'd be better online than on my drive for eternity).
You can watch it here if you'd like: https://youtu.be/0q_eB_LLFBI :)
The video is pretty high quality, man. I like your approach torwards it. And all good on the math, we're all human. What were you doing before freelancing? Or is freelancing what you've done the whole time?
I've also dabbled in freelancing and I'm surprised at the variety of experiences people have with it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'll keep on documenting the whole process :)
About your question, I just posted a looooong video on it https://youtu.be/0q_eB_LLFBI
That's what I did since 2015
It's an extremely boring video tbh, but I had it on my mac so I though I might as well post it
