SEO is poised for significant changes in 2024
We're all aware of Google's launch of experimental AI within their SERP features. This makes us wonder about its impact on SEO and organic traffic from Google search. Will it kill SEO?
I've conducted an analysis to help you understand SEO and organic traffic in 2024.
There are several series to this, starting with this post which is to understand Google's move and its effects.

Now let's get started.
A look at history highlights two key points:
Lets go to point 1
Yes, Google consistently launches experimental products.
For those already using the experimental AI in its current state, it sucks. It rarely produces good results and even if it did you will doubt the response and still look for other websites to confirm it. Unlike chat gpt this google AI has a long way to even catch up with chat gpt. Is that good news ?
Yes. If no improvement is made, it will be another failed product.
It will take google sometimes to make it good but imagine if they manage to make it work. What will happen ?
Point 2
If a basic SERP can yield up to 64% zero-click searches, imagine the impact if Google perfects its experimental AI. The potential increase in zero-click will be about 64% and nobody will be on the top spot. We could predict it will cause zero click at least 75%.
Despite Google's frequent failures, if they succeed this time, it will be a disaster for us and my suggestion is to prepare for the possibility of Google successfully implementing experimental AI and strategize accordingly.
In summary: While Google often failed with new products, the potential success of experimental AI could lead to over 70% zero-click searches. Considering Moore's law of technology there is a very good chance they succeeded. How to prepare for this?
