Hi guys π
I'm Gal and I work in growth at Popsy. Popsy is a no-code website builder for creators. It works like Notion or a text editor - just start typing and create a website. Most of the website builders are too complex or cost too much for creators & small businesses, so we wanted to change that and give you the perfect platform to get online quickly :)
Today I'd like to share a huge milestone. More than 20.000 websites have been created with Popsy. Even better, we helped over 17.000 people start their online presence.
Here are 5 acquisition channels that we use and I strongly suggest them to everyone who wants more people to reach their website or product:
1. Product Hunt
We introduced Popsy in September and got over 3k users from that launch alone. Popsy finished the day as the #1 product with 1k+ upvotes, 200+ comments and 1k+ signups in the first 24 hours. Here are some key takeaways from the launch:

2. Twitter
Twitter is perfect for SaaS products. By being active and interacting with people on daily basis, you can build a tight-knit community that supports what you're building. It also helps very much if you "build in public" and share the ups and downs of your business regularly. It's also one of the greatest acquisition channels - you get an amazing reach. What works for us: share free content (like free website templates, icons, illustrations and knowledge), tweet images or short videos, always try to be helpful and useful, don't just promote. Less is more.
3. Cold outreach
It takes a lot of hard work but it pays off in the end. By sending out simple emails or even Twitter DMs, we were able to contact a lot of creators and influencers. Many of them were actually in need of an easy & fast website builder. This is also great for building backlinks.
4. SEO
SEO. It's a long-term game, but by always optimizing content and targeting low-difficulty keywords in your niche, you can start ranking higher and bring in new users. Perfect tools for that are Ahrefs and ChatGPT (to come up with content and optimize it). For a website builder, free website templates are the main thing. But we also bring a lot of users through completely free custom illustrations & icons.
5. Word of mouth
Word of mouth. It might sound cheeky, but people will start talking about your product if they're happy with the service and if you figure out how to solve their problems. By offering great service and building what the people want, word of mouth should happen organically. People love recommending products they're using daily. If it doesn't happen, you can always encourage them to give you shoutouts or share important feedback on social media.
Thanks for reading! I'm always open to any kind of questions. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with :)
Thanks for sharing, I also agree that twitter is the best place if you really want to go with "build in public"
Yeah it's an awesome place to find potential customers and great for networking :)
