My 2nd project of 2019 - Please review my landing page: https://workingat.co/ #landing-page-feedback π
Hi IH. My first project of 2019, the Trello board with 100 ideas for marketing your startup delivered my freelance business 100 leads πand a few paying customers.
I am now exploring a new idea on my list, IMDB for startups: https://workingat.co/.
Discover what it's like to work at 100 leading London startups, a quantitative version of Glassdoor with a focus of detailing policies, perks, processes and benefits. I want this product to be visually unique, infographic style, and tonally characterful, so it sits outside what Glassdoor does both in positioning and functionality. I see it visually much more like nomadlist.
I also considered I could start to introduce comprehensive details of the tech stack, photo galleries, 'a day in the life', values and work practices [autonomy vs teamwork, risk taker vs risk averse].
Last night I pulled together a first-version landing page which I'd love to share with the community #landing-page-feedback https://workingat.co/
The ambition here is to create another side project, with a focus on reaching startup people and the relevant Head Of People in these startups, and potentially generate a small amount of revenue for job listings.
Another benefit here is that by creating transparency around important benefits like health insurance it encourages more startups to DO BETTER.
Personas: people looking for work who want to compare out of interest. And those who have 'deal breakers'. People interested in startup culture or want to compare with their corporate job. Website that want to supplement startup listings with structured data. Niche groups who quickly want to review policies. Voyeurs. Head of People / HR who want to check out competition. + Head of People / HR who want a beautiful and structured way to demonstrate their co culture.
Would love to hear thoughts?
Like the site, colours work well and text is clear. Couple of points:
Thanks! Good advice. I'll make those changes.
I think Working At Dot Co was me overthinking things and does need tidying.
The site is built on carrd so there may be some limitations.
Where are you BTW, I see North London on your profile.
Hi olly, no problem :)
Live around Highgate area and work in Old Street, you north as well?
I wanted to click and type on the _____ would be good if the _______ were being replaced on a rotating basis with example company names. You could also do the same with "new equipment". After scrolling the concept became clear. Similar offering to http://greatplacetowork.com and glassdoor.co.uk but a more quantitative approach and a focus on company perks. I can see this being quite profitable.
However, I personally don't like to get caught up in perks. What matters to me most:
Thank you for the feedback.
On your points
How we would capture and visualise around the ideas you listed I am not sure. They may not be a good fit for this product, or naturally only be understood by a real-world meeting.
My next step is to start visualising the startup page where I'll start to list consider how we articulate the information.
Please do click through and let me know your thoughts π€
