26 years in sales, $0 in revenue, 4 products live. It could be worse.

The first thing they teach you in sales is to find the pain point. The second thing they teach you is to exploit it.

I spent 26 years doing exactly that — not because I wanted to, but because that's the job. Find the thing that hurts, press on it until the prospect flinches, and close the deal. I am not proud of it, but I was good at it, and it put food on the table for my family.

ThoughtFold Studio exists because I got tired of being on the wrong side of that equation.

I am 26 years into a sales career that I'm trying to get out of. Not because sales is beneath me — it's not, it's hard, and it's real, and it taught me things no classroom would have. But I want to build something I can be proud of. Something that solves problems instead of using them against you.

I'm not a programmer. I understand the concepts, I've taken the courses, but the combination of ADHD and a full-time job made it impossible to master any one language well enough to translate what was in my head into a program that worked, let alone helped. What changed is AI. Not because AI wrote my code — it did, mostly — but because for the first time since I was young, I can actually harness my own thinking. The ADHD brain that used to scatter every project into 47 half-finished tabs now has a collaborator that can keep up.

So I built.

In the last six weeks, I shipped four products under ThoughtFold Studio:

  • ThoughtFold — a Chrome extension that folds your open tabs into organized collections. No account. Your data stays local. It is completely free to use, with a $15 one-time upgrade (if you feel you need more). thoughtfold.app

  • The Corporate AI Toolkit — 47 AI prompts for the corporate job you actually have. $5, one time. toolkit.thoughtfold.app

  • The LinkedIn Ghostwriter OS — a full Notion-based system for building a LinkedIn presence without sounding like a bot. $75, one time. ghostwriter.thoughtfold.app

  • Free tools — an AI Prompt Formatter and Image Converter. No account, no catch. thoughtfold.app/tools

Revenue so far: $0. I'm a week into marketing. I'm not panicking about that yet.

If you've read this far, then maybe you and I have something in common. And, maybe, we can help each other.

I'm not asking for feedback on the products — not today. I'm asking a different question, and I want it to start an ongoing conversation.

What is broken in your daily digital life?

Not in a grand, systemic way. Specifically. The thing you do every day on a screen that makes you want to throw the screen. The workflow that has three more steps than it should. Or the one that has two less than it needs. The app that charges you $9.99 a month to do something that you keep paying for because it has that ONE feature that none of the others have.

That's what I want to build. I want to find the pain point and fix it. I don't want to exploit it. I have been paying $4.99 a month for 1Password for as long as I can remember. I can, have, and will spend hundreds of dollars on a well-designed piece of software that makes my life easier.

Tell me what's broken, and let me take a stab at fixing it without holding your wallet or personal information hostage.
