#ask-ih : How much of the comments/feedback should we take to heart? Where is the limit between being bullied and constructive feedback?

Do you feel bullied? If so link me and I'll check it out. The line between bullying and constructive feedback is actually quite wide and easy to discern.

As for the line between good and bad feedback, that's tougher. That's where your judgment comes in as a founder. Nobody can really tell you how to build your business. You have to get good at discerning, at looking at a world full of information and deciding what fits your particular context well and what doesn't.

In case you are getting bullied, the report button helps.

I try to share my experience. I know that the founder knows about the problem he is trying to solve that most of us don't. So I try to be suggestive and not force my own view.

In general, I try to avoid negativity. Knowing too much negative staffs too early may demotivate the founder. So, instead of saying "it won't work", I would rather say, "How about challenging your assumptions?" and show him the way.

We all are here to learn and build without making the other person feel bad.
