2K$ MRR: Looking for a technical co-founder

Seeking a technical co-founder to join build my SaaS product with early-stage revenue (2k$ MRR, growing 300-500$/month) and proven market (+150 users with zero marketing in 5-months). The MVP was launched 5 months ago and needs a committed technical co-founder to really fuel the growth.

The product helps e-commerce store owners to understand their customer behavior. It also provides a toolset for tracking certain store KPI-metrics. Currently, the product is published in the Shopify App Store and has integrations to different platforms. There's some competition, but the product has its own niche in the marketplace.

Technology

Sounded too good so far? The MVP was built with Php (Yii2) and jQuery and needs either some refactoring or a total rewrite. There are multiple low-hanging fruits in terms of features that would easily double the current products revenue and growth rate.

Team

The current team is only me + 1 contractor. I've got a very strong background in e-commerce and digital marketing, and currently, lead a +14M$ e-commerce retailer as my day job. I can devote up to 20 hours per week for the app. Hiring remote, full-time developers is an option, but you should have the skillset for managing such a remote team.

A strong candidate:

  • Has solid backend and software design experience with data-intensive systems
  • Can live with PHP (for some time)
  • Has experience with different e-commerce and digital marketing API:s
  • Is willing to put in 200-400 hours of sweat equity in exchange for equity

You can be located everywhere, but the EU is a preferred location. I'm used to working with asynchronous messaging and just having 1-2 weekly calls if necessary, so someone in the East Coast could also suit.

Funding

There’s an option for raising seed funding for the company (there’s a deal ready and waiting). Currently, the company is bootstrapped and self-funded so options are open. This could become a great lifestyle business or a more serious funded startup.
