Got rejected at first stage of another role with zero feedback.
Made it to final stages of a third. Job put on hold indefinitely. (Full Stack TypeScript role)
Meanwhile I have 3 products live, $254 total revenue across 4 months, and a family to support.
Solo founder reality nobody talks about: you can't always choose between job hunting and building. Sometimes you do both badly because the alternative is doing neither well.
Every morning: 1 application, 1 LeetCode problem, 1 validation DM, interview prep when scheduled. Evenings: my products. Weekends: my family.
Nothing gets the full attention it needs. The product moves slowly. The interviews don't convert. The applications get auto-rejected. Welcome to the middle.
Anyone else doing the founder + job hunt grind right now? How are you balancing it?
I feel this. I’m in a similar mode right now with a product launch: trying to keep momentum, answer people, test the product, and still not let everything else fall apart. The hardest part for me is not the amount of work itself, but the constant context switching. Hope you get a clean break on the job side soon — that middle zone is exhausting.
