3 challenges when using IoT in healthcare 🔥

I guess every man and his dog have discussed the IoT technology and it’s revolutionality, as well as significant advantages for all mankind, especially in healthcare industry.
Can’t argue with that, still...
As a developer I keep thinking about challenges of IoT and optimal solutions for it.
I think the most painful issues include:
✔️ Communication protocols. Multiple sensors, smart devices, and apps devices assembled into a single IoT ecosystem.
What's more, they have to deal with different communication protocols which causes some difficulties (e.g., slowing down communication processes)
✔️ Data security. Smart devices are connected to the Internet and can be hacked in case of non-conformity with data protocols and security standards.
✔️Data overload and scalability. IoT devices and sensors offer the ability to collect huge volumes of data. The good thing is that doctors receive a great opportunity to get a deep insight into health data and improve treatment. On the other hand it can cause some problems to information analysis and storage capabilities. Not to mention that the number of smart devices will grow, so the need for scaling will also increase.

The problem of IoT data security is urgent and as to me the issue of data protection will always be one of the key for this segment
Partially I agree with you. As for me the main question of IoT will be the accuracy of the data and their correct analysis
I think it is a rather important issue to finance such projects in less developed countries, as these technologies are being implemented in such countries much slower and not accessible to all.
Yeap. Timely notification of any complications during treatment is quite useful. This will improve the quality of treatment and reduce the likelihood of complications
Diversity of communication protocols is one of the problems of IoT because it interferes with the interaction of the equipment with each other
Each equipment manufacturer mainly has its own data protocol, so there is a need for a unified protocol that will reduce, in my opinion, development costs
For me, with the help of IoT medicine can prevent a large number of epidemics and greatly simplify the study of diseases and their treatment
Thanks for sharing! I think data security is actually super crucial, especially in healthcare! It definetely is a struggle, but I hope people are coming up with good solutions though, rather then just skipping out on it.
