3 hacks to boost engagements by 30% on blog 👇

I did it for a client and it took me 5 weeks to grow engagements by 31%.

Didn't happen by luck, it was purely design.

To increase engagements, I had to find content ideas that solve real-world customer problems.

It takes time and requires a James Bond-like mental model.

  1. The Quora Ads hack.

This allows you to find high-traffic questions on Quora.

Set up an Ads account, select “Questions Targeting,” and then enter a relevant business keyword. (My client sells k-pop clothing, so I searched k-pop fashion)

Quora suggested me questions to answer and displayed the number of weekly views of each question. 🥳

  1. Go watchdogging on competitor blogs.

Check competitor blogs or high-traffic blogs in your niche daily and read comments.

You can spy comments on social media as well like Fb groups, subreddits, & IG hashtags.

That is treasure: real people sharing real world problems. Make a list of comments that relate to your business. 🥳🥳

This list will compliment your content strategy down the line.

Pro Tip: You can also use this data to improve website/email copy. 🤩 Take note of the lingo your prospects use when talking about similar products.

  1. Use Ahref’s Content Explorer (you'll need to buy Ahrefs for this)

It is a searchable database of over a billion web pages.

Find content that isn’t channelized right but receive good search traffic. These are easy to rank & users are searching for it.

The hack is to simply search for a broad topic and apply two filters:

a) Referring domains < 4
b) Monthly organic traffic > 1,500

And boom 💥, you’ll get a list of relevant pages that get lots of organic traffic while having few or no backlinks. 🥳🥳🥳

Look for topics with business value that make sense to cover and crush competitor posts with a high-quality post.

These three unique ways helped me unearth content ideas that gave results (+31% engagements) in a five weeks. 😃
