An improved website for jobs in entertainment industry....This is the current market leader and the user experience is absolutely terrible. There must be a better way. I live in LA and have ton's of friends who work in entertainment who've voice complaint about the issue.

- An exclusive, invite only, private community on Slack for the people in the entertainment - the logistics of LA (traffic, distance, etc) can make networking very challenging - a slack community would open up new opportunities for partnership, career development, coffee meetups, promotion of events, etc. Would have to keep the network invite only because of all the wannabees that would flood the city.
What's missing is your own strengths and passions. Making something is going to suck and you'll need to have that innate interest to keep going when times get tough. If you don't care about the entertainment industry then it doesn't really matter how much of a good idea it sounds like (appreciate others think differently about this).
But to answer the question I'd also go with merging #2 and #3 :)
Reading this comment, I would also back this up -> it will take a lot of effort to get anything going, so it better be something you are excited about / enjoy doing!
Appreciate the insight.... do you have any recommnded approaches to really auditing your self and self interests?
It's something a I struggle with - my background and resume are all over the place. Have a degree in Environmental Economics from University, have worked in Biz Dev at SaaS startups for 5 years - in EdTech and Crypto spaces. Left that job to come to LA and produce music. Worked at a Major Label Recording Studio in Hollywood. And just recently left that with plans to pursue entrepreneurship....
As you can scattered. Lately I love the idea that we are all so multivariate. And the best way to succeed is stack your unique skills, into a combination that you exclusively master.
I get what you mean, and I believe many of us are struggling with this - either there are many things you want to do, or none of them sounds like THE thing.
I believe I read somewhere, that the best thing to pick is the one that you will like the most (compared to other choices) at its worst :), and there is something valuable in that advice I think.
Passion can also come from seeing that people love what you are building, that it brings value, even if you did not have it at the start for that very specific topic.
I would agree with being multi-disciplined being valuable - it gives you specific perspective and ability to connect different worlds to make something new. But it does make it harder to figure out what exactly to do.
One thing that I found helped me was to allow myself to experiment with different ideas, try them a little bit, don't put pressure on myself that idea has to work out, because that kills innovation and fun in it. That is why it is sometimes easier to start as side project, because then you can still play and experiment, since your income does not depend on it.
As you can see I don't really have concrete advice, I just tried sharing couple of (subjective) views hoping you will find something valuable in them, I hope that does help a little bit!

I'd also go for #1, but ditto with the bias re favouring something environment/climate related.
You could roll #2 and #3 together. Slack is good as it will get you an MVP much faster.
It sounds like your strong side is in the entertainment industry, plus you have a problem identified, so #2 sounds the best to me. I see #3 as addition to #2, part of building the community.
I am biased, my side project is also environment/climate related.
I think though that we really need the 1st idea. I've been following for a while @wemakeitlast similar idea for women.
