Hey thanks for reading, I have a software idea for education which is based not around content and learning materials, but instead, conversation and interaction. Background- in my spare time i like to play music. I bought a complicated midi controller. It's difficult to learn has a lot of sub menus/specific terminology (here it is https://squarp.net/pyramid). Instead of reading the manual, I joined the fb group, and then wrote to other members asking if anyone wanted to talk me through it over skype. A guy from Estonia wrote back. He demo'd the synth to me over skype for 40 minutes. It was awesome, I learnt so much super quick, I am way ahead where I would have been with manual.
So I built this idea into a software, helping people interact and give feedback, learning faster. I am just starting out. It's a similar to codementor but for anything.
Here is my first landing page. Any feedback super helpful.
Thanks!
Hi !
Hope that helps.
Have a good day !
Hi, yes great, I was in a rush to get it done, so small details like this weren't a focus, but great feedback to know they stand out, and I will adjust them thanks.
I would say the topbar is confusing.
I don't know which are the links and what is just for decoration purposes. I had to move the mouse around to notice that.
The way the content is shown is good. It makes sense.
On the other hand, I would create more spaces, increase line-height and font-size of paragraphs. I think there's too much text too.
I hope it helps!
Great feedback! Thank you. Yes most of it is just decoration, there aren't any links yet. I thought I would link to pages later when I build more content and find out whether people like it. For now just a basic page.
Thanks, yes I have a problem with text, I always write too much. I have to keep cutting it down further. I think of that Mark Twain quote about writing letters, where he said something like "if I have more time I would have written less". Reminds me how hard it is to refine writing to make it shorter and impactful. Will keep working. Thanks for taking the time to review.
Absolutely! Think as this way: people want things directly if not, they leave.
Try to study your behaviors with the online content and you'll know the users will interact with yours
What a rude way to ask for feedback!
hey sorry! Being rude wasn't my intention. Just know it's hard to stand out over apathy, and was trying to be a bit provocative in the title to get attention, sorry if it seemed too much. I am otherwise well mannered I promise.
