#3 on Product Hunt, 50+ new users, $0 revenue

accountanalysis started as a weekend project. I primarily built it to make my own work as a Social Media Analyst easier. It enables users to evaluate Twitter accounts by visualizing their Tweets and allowing them to dig deep into the data.

Over the last two years over 30k people used it at least once. It is recommended by several OSINT (open source intelligence) trainers and verification experts.

I had a form where people could enter what features they would want and how much they are willing to pay for the service if it had those features. 200 signed up. Average was $7. Some users sent me money simply to support further development, others asked for Pro accounts. I sold three of them lifetime Pro accounts for $50.

This year a friend helped me to rebuild the service from scratch with modern technologies . First version was written in PHP and JS, now it's JS and JS (node, react). I think the new version turned out beautiful and is more user friendly. Users can now upgrade to Pro accounts on their own.

I sent an email to everyone who signed up to be notified once Pro accounts are available. 40% open rate, 12% click rate, 0% conversions. Well, many of the people signed up years ago. 3 unsubscribed, one gave as a reason that they don't use Twitter any more.

Today accountanalysis is on Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/posts/accountanalysis). Currently spot #3. Good questions, positive feedback. I added a coupon code which gave 65% off for Pro accounts. Over 50 new users, but none bought a Pro account.

I didn't expect to make a lot of money, but getting no paying customer at all feels a bit devastating.

A friend referred me to you people. Maybe someone can help me make sense of it. Or has tips how to proceed.
