3 things you should do for your next SaaS

1. Think big but do small.

One mistake I did when I was building Postdrips was that I never planned or thought of the future of the product in terms of features and scalability.

For e.g. my database schema wasn't ready for a collaborative features (multi-user) account. When later I had to add those I was confused about where to start and a lot needed to be changed which was painful.

So always think ahead about how different things will work with your platform in the future. Sometimes we stay in an MVP mindset and forget these things.

2. Do marketing before even building

I will build an email list without building the product first. I will build a landing page to share the product mockups from Figma, build a community, collect data, and then start developing.

3. Have a tech cofounder/partner

Building alone is hard. I would love to have someone with me who could help me out in different ways. So find someone who can collaborate with you. Its always helps you move fast and is less scary when you're non tech founder building a tech product.
