3 tips to prepare and write a good post

Hey guys,

I've been somewhat obsessed with blogs and posts. It was one of the main sources of my learning. And I recently started to focus on improving my writing.

When I saw @msilb7 Michael Silberling blog, his posts were easy to read and understand. It should be first the goal of every post.

He shared his tips when writing:

1. Pre-work: When having an idea, start brainstorm during normal day-to-day. Think about what is the main point, and where it came from.

2. Start writing: Start dumping those ideas as bullet points (without formatting). Then, arrange them to structure the story. And start writing from top-down

3. Editing: Remove things that unnecessary, or disconnected (for readers). For better results, leave an hour or a day before editing to refresh your brain.

Also, a good piece of advice from @8bit when writing

start in small, bite-sized pieces. simple thinking is hard.

    i don't do any "pre-work" and i don't do much "editing".

it's hard enough to just do #2, you know?!

      Hahah, that's true.

Posts on your blog are pretty short and easy to follow through.

Many people (plus me) write like dumping everything into a post which makes it hard to follow through.
